Learning to spin
We get many requests from people in our area who want to learn to spin yarns. Here are some places you can start:
- Come to a meeting! We try to keep a few “learn to spin” kits available. We’ll sell you a spindle and some wool, and show you how to use them. And the meetings are fun!
- Take private lessons or a class from a local spinner. Check out Chattahoochee Handweavers classes and FiberParts.
- Learn on the internet. There are online classes at Craftsy and videos available from Long Thread Media, publisher of Spin-off, Handwoven, and Piecework.
